THREE SOLUTION SCENARIOS;
FLEET: Safely extending
oil drain intervals by installing a $900 engine retrofit alternative to media filtration and a
lubricant upgrade. Could it be that easy?
GENSETS: Your diesel power generator could last 50% longer between overhauls
or longer. The benefits outweigh the front end investment.
Primrose Oil
Co. ran a test engine 50,000 hours, more than three times the
Caterpillar PM overhaul interval. The protocol called for the installation of a Spinner II Centrifuge, one time fill with synthetic oil and periodic additive
refreshment. Click here to download the literature sheet.
The Alaska Dept. of
Transportation, equipped new Cummins Gensets with the Spinner II
Centrifuge and higher quality oil. Download and read the report below.
"This
year, the standby units are still below the 20,000-hour mark and
mains are 40,000 to 45,000 hours. With centrifuges now on six
units and the oil analysis showing excellent results, we have
eliminated lube oil filters. A cleanable strainer takes its
place and thus far eliminated oil changes. Make-up oil is all
that is used. To date I do not know at what hour we will have to
change oil." Download the reprint here.
FLUID POWER: Your fluid power systems (hydraulics) could be free of sub-micron sized particle intrusion
which destroys power unit bearings and rod seals.
A Spinner II Centrifuge separates sub-micron size particulate to 0.1 µm.
NORIA and Machinery Lubrication Magazine agree. Watch this video.
