Another form
of micro-fine filter is the centrifuge. The Spinner II uses oil pressure
to turn a central nozzle assembly, spraying oil outward. The oil
contacts a spinning cup. Particulate matter is held by centrifugal force
while the cleaned oil flows back to the oil sump.

Question
at The Oil Drop: Just wondered if you have any info on the Spinner
vs. the MG oil tests?
BTW I have Mg and Spinner II in series. Everything can go through
the MG, but at 35 PSI the Spinner II activates it's pressure cutoff
valve. So theoretically I have all bases covered: 40 psi pre-lubing, MG
up to 35 psi and then, MG + Spinner II after 35 PSI. No oil tests as
I don't need them. Arrogant? Not if you do the math. No cleaner oil can
be had on a vehicle, maybe better thatn new oil.

From
Overdrive Magazine. July 2006:
David Wadsworth (A Montana
Owner/Operator) bought a Spinner
II centrifuge bypass filter for his last truck. He credits that
investment with extending the life of his engine to 1.5 million miles
without an overhaul. When the engine finally went, he removed the filter
and installed it on his new truck, a 2002 International 9400.

From
Overdrive Magazine, Feb. 2003:
The Spinner II bypass filter
uses centrifugal force to fling particles to a wall that can be removed
and cleaned.
