Spinner II Centrifuge cleaning is like filtering
on steroids. Centrifugal force separates solids from liquids to near
perfection. In our case, solids are removed down to 1/10 of one
micron. A human hair is 100 microns wide. What does that mean to
your equipment chiefs?
Engine oil, for instance, has an additive called
ZDDT. It bonds to metal and creates a near friction-free surface.
The film created by ZDDT is sub-micron in size. Oil cleaned by a
Spinner II centrifuge will not have any abrasive particulate thicker
than the ZDDT protective film.
On the other hand, element filters, even the very
best of them , remove particulate on the basis of size (and there
are some really good products out there). They all have two
weaknesses, though. 1. They have to serviced, replaced regularly.
The best filters are expensive, too. 2. They do not clean as well as
a centrifuge. |
